What to expect when you consult with me
Clinical herbalism can mean a lot of different things depending on the skillsets and experience the practitioner is bringing with them. I have a background in holistic theory and have studied traditions of herbal healing from around the globe. My approach to wellness incorporates knowledge from Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and holistic traditional Western Medicine.I also incorporatemany lessons from Indigenous healers I have had the honor to study with over the years. I am truly eclectic in my approach and blend the modern science and research with these traditional, Vitalist approaches to help my clients reach their health goals.
I offer herbal first aid in disaster scenarios, on the front lines of protests, as well as supporting and guiding people through complex health conditions like Hashimotos, Eczema, Polycyctic Ovarian Disease, Menopause Support, Pregnancy Support, Prostatitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome,Panic Attacks, Insomnia, Cancer Support, Grief, Cardiovascular Disease, and Asthma.
Most initial intakes take around 1.5 hours and include detailed notes that incorporate herbal recommendations, nutrition and lifestyle considerations, and even spiritual work. I may use body reading assessments like looking at the tongue, or listening to the pulse to gain more insight. If your health concern is chronic and something you’ve dealt with for some time, a recommendation of 3 visits is highly recommended, and can be bundled at a discounted rate. Herbal recommendations can be filled elsewhere or clients can request that she fill their herbal needs from my bioregional apothecary.
I do not diagnose, prescribe or treat medical conditions. I work to balance you as a person in what is called a consitutional approach. I look over all of your health information, diet, and lifestyle, and give you a protocol and suggestions to bring you to more balance.
I offer clinical mentorships through the American Herbalists Guild. Please email me if you’d like to be considered for this mentorship.
